OVERVIEW: (B.Ed in Distance Mode)
B.Ed stands for an undergraduate academic course known as Baccalaureate of Education(B.Ed). It is a course offered for those who are interested in pursuing career in teaching and related fields. Baccalaureate of Education (B.Ed) Course can also be pursued through Correspondence or Distance Learning which is generally of 1 Year duration. While students from Arts Stream are trained to teach subjects like History, Civics, Geography and Languages. The students from Science Stream are trained to teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The B.Ed. degree course is mandatory for teaching in higher primary schools and high schools. 

CAREER PROSPECTS:
There is a shortage of about 1.2 million teachers at the primary and middle levels and about two lakh at secondary level (i.e. classes 9 and 10), according to official data, suggesting the huge demand for B.Ed and other teacher training courses. These shortages should be seen in the context of the Right to Education Act which lays down the teacher-pupil ratio of 1:30 and prescribes strict standards of recruitment of teachers. OVERVIEW

Teacher education refers to the policies and procedures designed to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviours and skills they require to perform their tasks effectively in the classroom, school and wider community. The Department of School Education and Literacy, a department under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has introduced Vocationalisation of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and has already been subsumed in Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme with effect from 01-04-2013. The National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework (NVEQF) is a descriptive Framework that organises qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge along with skills. These levels are defined in terms of learning outcomes i.e. the competencies which a learner must possess regardless of whether they were acquired through formal, non formal or informal education and training.
Overview:
General Machinist incorporates Engineering Drawing, Workshop Engineering, theoretical part of General Machinist. It also consists of Filing Work, Lathe Work and Fitting Work. The different subjects like lathe, drilling machine, shaping machine, milling machine, the various equipments, welding, and maintenance prepare the students for a professional career in the Engineering sector.
