International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education 

QAHE is an internationally recognized accreditation and quality assurance body serving pre-tertiary and higher education institutions. The organization promotes sound accreditation practices, international collaboration, and research-led quality improvement initiatives to enhance educational standards across borders.

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding  with Tamilnadu Council for Open and Distance Learning (TCODL), India, to strengthen collaboration in the field of quality assurance within open and distance learning.

This strategic understanding reflects a shared commitment to advancing academic standards, reinforcing institutional credibility, and supporting excellence in flexible learning systems both in India and internationally.

Areas of Cooperation

Under the terms of this MoU, both organizations have agreed to pursue structured collaboration in the following domains:

1. Reciprocal Recognition Framework

The parties will work toward establishing mechanisms for reciprocal recognition of accreditation principles and quality benchmarks, thereby encouraging academic confidence and international cooperation.

2. Advancement of Quality Assurance Systems

QAHE and TCODL will jointly engage in initiatives aimed at refining and strengthening quality assurance practices in open and distance education, aligning them with globally accepted standards and evolving educational models.

3. Academic and Research Exchange

The partnership provides for the exchange of scholarly materials, policy frameworks, research outputs, and professional insights related to accreditation and quality enhancement, fostering informed dialogue and knowledge dissemination.

4. Institutional and Professional Capacity Enhancement

Both institutions will collaborate in developing training initiatives, advisory support, and professional development programs to empower educational institutions and practitioners in implementing effective quality assurance systems.
