Examination Policy

Examination Policy:

Tamilnadu Council for Open and Distance Learning (TCODL) conducts Examination 4 times a year for VIII, X and XII(Arts, Accountancy, General Machinist).There will be  a Main Exam (May) and On Demand Exam(November). The examination conducted after May till October will bear the May Date of Examination in the mark sheet and Examination conducted after November till April will bear the November Date of Examination.

The Examination conducted in between months, that is, after May and November will be called Student Centric Examination(Resolution Passed in the Academic Council of TCODL: TCODL/2015/15) . These exams are conducted mainly to support the cause of students who have missed the main / On-Demand Examination.

Examination will be conducted in Open and Distance Pattern, so that the students are able to pass the exams easily. Extra Fees will be charged for conducting Student- Centric Examination and the details of fees will be informed to you

Conducting Exams:

Exams shall be conducted at the Authorized Centres of TCODL and answer sheets and Admit Card will be sent to you earlier to the exams. The Exams should be conducted in fair manner without student Copying, impersonating or doing any other fraudulent activities. Each Authorized Centre should nominate two staffs per 25 students. The students should fill the answer sheets neatly without any mistake. Also, they student sign the attendance on all days of examination. The Answer Sheets should be dispatched to us on the same day of conducting last examination, failing which the answer sheets will not be evaluated.

Correction and Announcement of Results:

            The correction of Answer Sheets will be done by eminent teachers and final Result list with corrected answer sheets will be submitted to us. The correction of Answer sheets will be done in secrecy. The results will be announced in 30-45 days from the day of submission of answer sheets. The results will be withheld if the centre has not completed the fees or if the centre has not submitted the answer sheets. Once the results are announced, the centres are request to check the correctness of name, subjects, date of birth etc and inform us of any changes immediately within 3 days, else the correction is chargeable.
